Description:

Acenomac 2 Tablet- 10 is an anticoagulant or blood thinner which is used in the treatment and prevention of abnormal blood clots. This medicine does not dissolve the blood clot that has already formed but may prevent it from becoming larger and leading to more serious problems. Close monitoring of INR and prothrombin time is necessary during treatment with this medicine.

Acenomac 2mg Tablet is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy.Human and animal studies have shown significant adverse effects on the foetus. Please consult your doctor.

Expert advice:

Good medication for preventing blood clots. For best results, take Acenomac at the same time every day. Requires regular blood test (PT-INR), to make sure Acenomac is working properly. Acenomac increases your risk of bleeding. Be careful while shaving, cutting fingernails or toenails, using sharp objects or engaging in contact sports (e.g. football, wrestling). Notify your doctor if you see blood in your vomit, urine or stool (black, tarry stools or bright red blood). Interacts with food or other medicines; hence require frequent dose changes. If you are going to have a surgery or dental treatment, you may be asked to stop taking Acenomac temporarily. Acenomac should not be used in the pregnancy. You may breastfeed. Inform your doctor if you have ever been diagnosed with kidney or liver problems.
