Acrocef 200mg Tablet DT is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic used in the treatment of infections of skin and skin structures, respiratory tract, urinary tract, gynecological infections including gonorrhea, intraabdominal infections, and septicemia caused by susceptible microorganisms. It is not recommended for use in patients who are allergic to cephalosporins or penicillins.

A: Combination of cefoperazone and sulbactam (beta lactamase inhibitor) are used for the treatment of intra-abdominal infections
Q: Is Acrocef nephrotoxic?
A: No, cefoperazona is not a nephrotoxic drug when given alone, but when given along with aminoglycosides (gentamicin, tobramycin) or other cephalosporins antibiotics, it may increase nephrotoxicity. Please consult your doctor before taking the drug
