ACTEMRA 200 MG INJECTION may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

Actemra is injected into the vein. The infusion takes about 1 hour. Some people feel better quite quickly after receiving the injection while others may take longer. Get blood tests done regularly. This is to make sure that Actemra is not harming your liver, blood counts or cholesterol. Actemra has not been studied in pregnancy. Tell your doctor if you are, or planning to get pregnant, or breastfeeding. Actemra could make it harder for you to fight infections. It is best to stop taking Actemra if you have a fever or think you have an infection, or you have been given antibiotics to treat an infection. Have a tuberculosis skin test & chest x-ray done before starting Actemra. It can rarely cause reactions (redness, pain, & itching) at the injection site. Tell your doctor if these are severe.

Side Effects:

Headache, Increased blood pressure, Upper respiratory tract infection, Increased liver enzymes, Nasopharyngitis (inflammation of the throat and nasal passages).

Your doctor or nurse will give you this medicine. Kindly do not self administer.
