Description:

Alprax Z 0.25 mg/3 mg Tablet is used to treat insomnia. It helps to calm the brain by decreasing the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells. It also regulates the sleep cycle and helps the patient to fall asleep quickly.

Interactions / Warnings:

Taking melatonin with alcohol may cause sleepiness and the effects may become even stronger.

Pregnancy interaction:

Alprax Z 0.25 mg/3 mg Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy.There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.

How it works:

Alprax Z 0.25 mg/3 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Alprazolam and melatonin which help you sleep. Alprazolam is a benzodiazepine. It works by increasing the action of GABA, a chemical messenger which suppresses the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain and induces sleep. Melatonin is a natural hormone which helps to regulate the sleep-wake cycle.
