Interactions / Warnings:

Atenolol and alcohol may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.

Pregnancy interaction:

Asomex-AT 5 Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy.There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.

Side Effects:

Headache, Nausea, Tiredness, Sleepiness, Dizziness, Palpitations, Slow heart rate, Abnormal dreams, Swelling of legs, Cold extremities, Flushing (sense of warmth in the face, ears, neck and trunk).

How to use:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Asomex-AT 5 Tablet- 15 may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How it works:

Asomex-AT 5 Tablet is a combination of two medicines: S-Amlodipine and Atenolol which lower blood pressure effectively. S-Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker which works by relaxing blood vessels while Atenolol is a beta blocker that works specifically on the heart to slow down the heart rate. Together, they make the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body.
