Description:

Atelol D 50 mg/2.5 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). It helps to control blood pressure when a single medication is not effective. It also helps to reduce chances of any future heart attack and stroke.

Uses / Indications:

Hypertension (high blood pressure)

Interactions / Warnings:

Taking Indapamide with alcohol may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.

Pregnancy interaction:

Atelol D 50 mg/2.5 mg Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy.There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.

Nausea, Dyspepsia, Diarrhoea, Stomach pain, Constipation, Headache, Fatigue, Weakness, Cold extremities, Peripheral edema, Flu-like symptoms.

How to use:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Atelol D 50 mg/2.5 mg Tablet Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How it works:

Atelol D 50 mg/2.5 mg Tablet is a combination of two blood-pressure lowering medicines: Atenolol and Indapamide. tAtenolol is a beta blocker which works specifically on the heart to reduce heart rate and make the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. Indapamide is a diuretic which lowers blood pressure by removing extra water and certain electrolytes from the body. Over time it also relaxes blood vessels and improves blood flow.
