Description:

Aten-H 25 Tablet- 10 is a combination medicine used for the treatment of high blood pressure. Frequent monitoring of blood pressure and electrolytes level is necessary during treatment with this medicine. Patients are advised to maintain a strict diet and exercise regimen along with this medicine for the best possible effect.

Hypertension (high blood pressure)

Aten-H 25 Tablet- 10 may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol.

Pregnancy interaction:

Aten-H 25 Tablet- 10 is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.

How to use:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Aten-H 25 Tablet- 10 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How it works:

Aten-H 25 Tablet is a combination of two blood-pressure lowering medicines: Atenolol and Hydrochlorothiazide. tAtenolol is a beta blocker which works specifically on the heart to reduce heart rate and make the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic which lowers blood pressure by removing extra water and certain electrolytes from the body. Over time it also relaxes blood vessels and improves blood flow.
