Description:

Atrodex-C Eye Drop- 5ml is used to treat the swelling of the middle layer of the eye (uvea) called uveitis. It reduces the pain, swelling and redness in the inside of the eyes. It also kills or prevents the growth of bacteria that can cause infection in the eyes.

Pregnancy interaction:

How to use:

This medicine is for external use only.Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye/ear without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid or ear. Wipe off extra liquid.

How it works:

Atrodex-C Eye Drop- 5ml is a combination of three medicines: Atropine, Chloramphenicol and Dexamethasone. Atropine is an anticholinergic medicine which works by making the pupil of your eye larger and relax the muscles in your eye. Chloramphenicol is an antibiotic which stops bacterial growth by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Dexamethasone is a steroid medicine. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the eye red, swollen and itchy.
