Description:

Benidin Trio Tablet is a combination medicine used in the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure). It works by relaxing the blood vessels and making the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. It also removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body.

Uses / Indications:

Hypertension (high blood pressure)

Interactions / Warnings:

Taking Telmisartan with alcohol may excessively lower the blood pressure.

Pregnancy interaction:

Benidin Trio Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

How to use:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Benidin Trio Tablet Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How it works:

Benidin Trio Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Benidipine, telmisartan and chlorthalidone which lower blood pressure effectively. Benidipine is a calcium channel blocker (CCB) and telmisartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). They work by widening and relaxing the blood vessels to reduce blood pressure. Chlorthalidone is a diuretic which removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body by increasing the amount of urine produced. Over time it also works by relaxing blood vessels and improving blood flow.
