Description:

Betnovate-S Ointment- 20gm is a combination medicine which may be used for the treatment of steroid responsive dermatoses including those associated with eczema or psoriasis. This medicine is not recommended for use if you are known allergic to it.

How to use:

This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the cream. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area.

How it works:

Betnovate-S Ointment- 20gm is a combination of two medicines: Betamethasone and Salicylic Acid which treat eczema and psoriasis. Betamethasone is a steroid which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy. Salicylic Acid is a keratolytic medicine which breaks down keratin clumps, removes dead skin cells and softens the skin. It also enhances the absorption of Betamethasone into the skin.
