Information about Blonitas 2 Tablet- 10

Description:

Blonitas 2 Tablet- 10 is used for the treatment of schizophrenia in adult patients who have failed to respond to the first line treatment. This medicine is not recommended for use in patients less than 18 years of age. Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly as it may cause withdrawal symptoms like mood changes and irritability.

Schizophrenia ,Mania

Interaction with alcohol is unknown. Please consult your doctor.

Pregnancy interaction:

Blonitas 2mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

Expert advice:

Use blonanserin with extreme caution if you have a history of suicidal tendency as these symptoms may get worsened. Do not take blonanserin if you are an elderly patient with dementia-related psychosis (symptoms may include memory loss and difficulties with thinking, problem-solving or language). Do not consume this drug if you are allergic to blonanserin or any of its ingredients.

Side Effects:

Sleepiness, Akathisia, Dystonia, Parkinsonism, Anxiety, Insomnia (difficulty in sleeping), Urinary retention.

How to use:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Blonitas 2mg Tablet is to be taken with food.Avoid Blonitas 2mg Tablet with caffeine and chocolate as well as food containing caffeine and chocolate such as tea leaves, cocoa beans.
