Description:

Bucelon 60mg Injection- 1 is an anticancer agent, used in the treatment of various types of cancers of the blood and also used prior to stem cell transplantation. It should only be used under the supervision of a qualified physician. Close monitoring of kidney function and blood cell count is necessary while receiving this medication.

Uses / Indications:

Blood cancer (Chronic myeloid leukaemia)

Interaction with alcohol is unknown. Please consult your doctor.

Pregnancy interaction:

BUCELON 60 MG INJECTION is unsafe to use during pregnancy.There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.

Expert advice:

Seek immediate medical attention if you have unusual bruising or bleeding, or signs of infection (fever, chills, body aches) as busulfan can lower the ability of your blood to clot and body to fight infections.Inform your doctor if you have thalassemia (abnormal hemoglobin in blood), gout (arthritis due to impaired metabolism of uric acid) or if you have had radiotherapy.Do not receive live vaccine while using busulfan, and avoid contact with individuals who have recently received the same.Tell your doctor if you are or planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding.Common Side Effects.

Side Effects:

Nausea, Vomiting, Diarrhoea, Insomnia (difficulty in sleeping), Decreased potassium level in blood, Loss of appetite, Abdominal pain, Bone-marrow suppression, Anxiety, Increased magnesium level in blood, Fever, Stomatitis (Inflammation of the mouth), Increased glucose level in blood.
