Information about Butrum 2mg Injection

Description:

Butrum 2mg Injection is used for the management of moderate to severe pain when the use of opioid analgesics is appropriate. It is used as anesthesia for surgeries, and also for the management of pain during early labor. This medicine is not recommended for use in patients less than 18 years of age.

Moderate to severe pain

Butrum 2mg Injection may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.

Pregnancy interaction:

Butrum 2mg Injection may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

Expert advice:

Use Butrum as instructed by your doctor. Never take in greater amounts or more often than prescribed. It causes sleepiness or drowsiness. If this happens to you, do not drive or use machinery. Avoid consuming alcohol when taking the Butrum, as it may cause excessive sleepiness or drowsiness. Inform your doctor if you have ever been diagnosed with kidney or liver problems. Store opioid pain relievers in a safe place and out of reach of others.
