Information about Cefdipar Dry Syrup

Description:

Cefdipar Dry Syrup is a broad-spectrum antibiotic used to treat a variety of bacterial infections including skin infections, throat infections, respiratory infections, etc. This medicine is not recommended for use in case of a common cold, flu, or other viral infections since it is active against the infections caused by certain bacterial species only. This medicine is not recommended for use in patients less than 6 months of age.

Interactions / Warnings:

Cefdipar Dry Syrup may cause symptoms such as flushing, increased heartbeat, nausea, thirst, chest pain and low blood pressure with alcohol (Disulfiram reactions).

Pregnancy interaction:

Cefdipar Dry Syrup may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Your doctor has prescribed Cefdipar to cure your infection and improve symptoms. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Discontinue Cefdipar and inform your doctor immediately if you get a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or have difficulty in breathing. Diarrhea may occur as a side effect but should stop when your course is complete. Inform your doctor if it doesn't stop or if you find blood in your stools. If you're on blood thinners, Cefdipar can interact with your medications and increase your bleeding tendencies.
