Interactions / Warnings:

Taking trimethoprim with alcohol may cause unpleasant side effects such as tingly feeling, nausea, and vomiting, fast heartbeats, warmth or redness under your skin, .

Pregnancy interaction:

Ciplin DS 800mg/160mg Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy.There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.

Side Effects:

Nausea, Vomiting, Skin rash, Allergic reaction.

How to use:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Ciplin DS DS Tablet- 10 may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How it works:

Ciplin DS 800mg/160mg Tablet is a combination of two antibiotics: Sulfamethoxazole and Trimethoprim.tThey work by preventing the bacteria from producing folic acid, a nutrient required for bacterial multiplication. Together, they treat your infection effectively.
