Description:

Corbis-H 2.5mg/6.25mg Tablet- 10 is an antihypertensive which is used alone or in combination with other agents to lower the elevated blood pressure. It is administered with caution in the patients with lung diseases.

Uses / Indications:

Hypertension (high blood pressure)

Interactions / Warnings:

Taking Hydrochlorothiazide with alcohol may have additive effects in lowering blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.

Pregnancy interaction:

Corbis-H 2.5mg/6.25mg Tablet- 10 may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Expert advice:

Before taking it, let your doctor know if you have any liver or kidney problems. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult their doctor for advice before taking this medicine. You also need to tell your doctor what other medicines you are taking especially those used to treat high blood pressure or heart conditions. You should have your blood pressure, kidney function, blood sugar level and the levels of salts such as potassium or magnesium checked regularly to make sure that this medicine is working properly.

Side Effects:

Nausea, Constipation, Fatigue, Headache, Diarrhoea, Dizziness, Cold extremities, Slow heart rate, Increased blood uric acid, Decreased potassium level in blood, Glucose intolerance, Altered blood lipids, Decreased magnesium level in blood, Increased calcium level in blood.

How to use:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Corbis-H 2.5mg/6.25mg Tablet- 10 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How it works:

Corbis-H 2.5mg/6.25mg Tablet- 10 is a combination of two blood-pressure lowering medicines: Bisoprolol and Hydrochlorothiazide. tBisoprolol is a beta blocker which works specifically on the heart to reduce heart rate and make the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic which lowers blood pressure by removing extra water and certain electrolytes from the body. Over time it also relaxes blood vessels and improves blood flow.
