Interactions / Warnings:

Depsodep 25 mg/10 mg Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.

Pregnancy interaction:

Depsodep 25 mg/10 mg Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy.There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.

Side Effects:

Constipation, Difficulty in urination, Dryness in mouth, Weight gain, Confusion, Orthostatic hypotension (sudden lowering of blood pressure on standing), Tiredness, Blurred vision, Increased heart rate, Uncoordinated body movement, Depression, Memory impairement.

How to use:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Depsodep 25 mg/10 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How it works:

Depsodep 25 mg/10 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Imipramine and chlordiazepoxide which treat depression. Imipramine is a tricyclic antidepressant which increases the levels of chemical messengers in the brain that help in regulating the mood and treat depression. Chlordiazepoxide is a benzodiazepine (BZD) which works by increasing the action of GABA, a chemical messenger which suppresses the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain.
