How to use:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. G Kelfin 25 mg/500 mg Tablet- 2 may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How it works:

G Kelfin 25 mg/500 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Pyrimethamine and Sulfamethoxazole which treat malaria. Pyrimethamine is an antiparasitic medicine which works by increasing the levels of haeme in the blood, a substance toxic to the malarial parasite. This kills the parasite and stops the infection from spreading. Sulfamethoxazole is an antibiotic which stops the bacteria from producing folic acid, a nutrient required for bacterial multiplication.
