Interactions / Warnings:

Taking tamsulosin with alcohol may lower your blood pressure. This can cause dizziness or feeling like you might pass out, especially when getting up from a sitting or lying position.

Pregnancy interaction:

Geriflo-D 0.4mg/0.5mg Tablet is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy.Human and animal studies have shown significant adverse effects on the foetus. Please consult your doctor.

Side Effects:

Impotence, Decreased libido, Breast pain, Ejaculation disorder, Dizziness.

How to use:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Geriflo-D 0.4mg/0.5mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How it works:

Geriflo-D 0.4mg/0.5mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Tamsulosin and Dutasteride which relieve the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia. Tamsulosin is an alpha-blocker. It works by relaxing muscle around the bladder exit and prostate gland so urine is passed more easily. Dutasteride is a 5-alpha-reductase inhibitor which helps in shrinking the prostate by decreasing the level of a hormone that causes the prostate to grow.
