Description:

Kofron Dmr Tablet is a combination medicine used in the treatment of dry cough. It relieves allergy symptoms such as runny nose, stuffy nose, sneezing, watery eyes and congestion or stuffiness. It also thins the mucus in the nose, windpipe and lungs, making it easier to cough out.

Pregnancy interaction:

Kofron Dmr Tablet is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy.Human and animal studies have shown significant adverse effects on the foetus. Please consult your doctor.

Before you start taking this medicine it is important to inform your doctor if you are suffering from liver or kidney disease. Nausea, indigestion, stomach pain, bloating, diarrhea, upset stomach, vomiting, headache, nervousness, insomnia, restlessness, sweating, and rash

How to use:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Kofron Dmr Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How it works:

Kofron Dmr Tablet is a combination of five medicines: chlorpheniramine, bromhexine, dextromethorphan, pseudoephedrine and guaifenesin which relieve dry cough. Chlorpheniramine is an antiallergic which relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Bromhexine is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant that relieves cough by reducing the activity of cough centre in the brain. Pseudoephedrine is a nasal decongestant. It narrows the small blood vessels which provides temporary relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose. Guaifenesin is an expectorant which decreases the stickiness of mucus (phlegm) and helps in its removal from the airways.
