Lexanox Oral Paste is probably safe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.

Expert advice:

Wash your hands immediately after applying the paste. Avoid direct contact with the eye. In case of contact, eye should be promptly washed with ample amount of water. Amexanox is not recommended for use in children and adolescents ( Caution should be taken whilst using amlexanox in patients with liver or kidney problems.
