Description:

Methertin Tablet- 10 is an effective anti-malarial medicine which is used for the treatment of severe malaria including cerebral malaria caused by plasmodium falciparum strains when other medicines are not effective

Interaction with alcohol is unknown. Please consult your doctor.

Pregnancy interaction:

Unknown. Human and animal studies are not available. Please consult your doctor.

Expert advice:

You may be monitored with blood test once a week during 4 weeks for the presence of malarial parasites.Do not drive or operate machinery as arteether may cause side effects such as dizziness or nausea.Do not stop the medication even if you feel better as infection may not be completely cured.Do not take arteether if you have ECG abnormalities.

Side Effects:

Decreased appetite, Headache, Vomiting, Abdominal pain, Cough.

How to use:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Methertin Tablet- 10 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
