Interactions / Warnings:

Montelast 4mg Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.

Pregnancy interaction:

Montelast 4mg Tablet is probably safe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.

Expert advice:

Take it in the evening for better control of asthma or allergies symptoms. Relatively safe medicine with very few side effects. Take Montelast 2 hours before exercising if you have exercise-induced asthma. Will not work for sudden wheezing or asthma attacks once they start. Always carry a fast-acting (rescue) inhaler with you. Not as effective as steroid inhalers for asthma. Do not discontinue use without consulting your doctor even if you feel better.

Side Effects:

Nausea, Vomiting, Diarrhoea, Flu-like symptoms.

How to use:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Montelast 4mg Tablet- 10 may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How it works:

Montelast 4mg Tablet works by blocking the action of leukotriene, a chemical messenger. This reduces inflammation in the airways to prevent asthma and relieve symptoms of allergies.
