Itopride should be used with careful monitoring in elderly patients. Do not drive or operate machinery while taking this medication as it may cause dizziness. Seek immediate medical attention if you observe any sudden allergic reactions such as breathlessness (dyspnea), urticaria (red, raised, itchy skin rash), low blood pressure (hypotension), sweating (diaphoresis) and pallor (pale color of skin). Tell your doctor if you are or planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding. Avoid if allergic to itopride or any of its ingredients. Do not take if suffering from severe gastrointestinal disorders such as bleeding, obstruction or perforation of intestine. Avoid if patient is Breastfeeding women.

Side Effects:

Decreased white blood cell count, Orthostatic hypotension (sudden lowering of blood pressure on standing), Dryness in mouth, Restlessness, Drowsiness, Insomnia (difficulty in sleeping), Anxiety, Agitation, Parkinsonism, Akathisia.

How to use:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Motiza 50mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How it works:

Motiza 50mg Tablet indirectly stimulates the release of acetylcholine, a chemical messenger that can increase the motility of the intestine.

A: Motiza belongs to a group of drugs called prokinetic agents which normalize or increase bowel movement (motility). They increase gastric emptying with increased rate of passage of digested food through the small intestine. In addition, Motiza suppresses vomiting.
