Description:

Novamox AX 500 mg/60 mg Tablet- 6 is a combination medicine that is prescribed to treat various types of respiratory infections. It treats the infection and prevents further infections by acting against the microorganisms. It also dilutes the thick mucus (phlegm) for easy cough out.

Pregnancy interaction:

Novamox AX 500 mg/60 mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

How it works:

Novamox AX 500 mg/60 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Amoxicillin and Ambroxol which treat respiratory tract infections associated with excessive mucus (phlegm). Amoxicillin is an antibiotic which kills bacteria by preventing them from forming their own protective covering. Ambroxol is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Addition of Ambroxol enhances the antibacterial effect of Amoxicillin.
