Description:

Nutaxin S 1000 mg/500 mg Injection is a combination medicine which may be used for the treatment of lower respiratory tract infections and genitourinary tract infections caused by susceptible bacteria. It may also be used for the treatment of infections such as bone and joint infections, skin, and soft tissue infections, intra-abdominal infections, bacterial septicemia, etc. caused by susceptible bacterial species. This medicine should be used with caution in patients with kidney diseases due to the increased risk of severe adverse effects.

It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Nutaxin S 1000 mg/500 mg Injection

Pregnancy interaction:

Nutaxin S 1000 mg/500 mg Injection is probably safe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.

How it works:

Nutaxin S 1000 mg/500 mg Injection is a combination of two medicines: Cefotaxime and Sulbactam. Cefotaxime is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria in the human body. Sulbactam is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Cefotaxime against bacteria.
