Information about OCEPH 300 MG CAPSULE

Description:

OCEPH 300 MG CAPSULE is a broad-spectrum antibiotic used to treat a variety of bacterial infections including skin infections, throat infections, respiratory infections, etc. This medicine is not recommended for use in case of a common cold, flu, or other viral infections since it is active against the infections caused by certain bacterial species only. This medicine is not recommended for use in patients less than 6 months of age.

OCEPH 300 MG CAPSULE may cause symptoms such as flushing, increased heartbeat, nausea, thirst, chest pain and low blood pressure with alcohol (Disulfiram reactions).

Pregnancy interaction:

OCEPH 300 MG CAPSULE may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.
