Interactions / Warnings:

Taking Metoprolol with alcohol may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.

Pregnancy interaction:

Olmax M 20 mg/50 mg Tablet ER is unsafe to use during pregnancy.There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.

Side Effects:

Nausea, Diarrhoea, Constipation, Stomach upset, Altered taste, Weakness, Dizziness, Headache, Cold extremities, Numbness of extremity, Increased potassium level in blood, Slow heart rate, Decreased blood pressure.

How to use:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Olmax-M 50 Tablet ER may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How it works:

Olmax M 20 mg/50 mg Tablet ER is a combination of two blood-pressure lowering medicines: Olmesartan and Metoprolol Succinate. Olmesartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). It works by blocking the hormone angiotensin thereby relaxing blood vessels. Metoprolol Succinate is a beta blocker which works specifically on the heart to reduce heart rate and lower blood pressure. Together they allow the blood to flow more smoothly and the heart to pump more efficiently.
