Description:

Onimex SF Syrup is used in the treatment of cough with mucus. It thins mucus in the nose, windpipe and lungs, making it easier to cough out. It also provides relief from runny nose, sneezing, itching, and watery eyes.

Caution is advised when consuming alcohol with Onimex SF 30mg/200mg Syrup. Please consult your doctor.

Pregnancy interaction:

Onimex SF 30 mg/200 mg Syrup may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

How it works:

Onimex SF 30 mg/200 mg Syrup is a combination of two medicines: Ambroxol and guaifenesin which relieve cough with mucus. Ambroxol is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Guaifenesin is an expectorant which works by decreasing the stickiness of mucus (phlegm) and helps in their removal from the airways.
