Interactions / Warnings:

Opiprime 100mg Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.

Pregnancy interaction:

Opiprime 100mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

Expert advice:

Do not drive or operate heavy machinery while on opipramol treatment as it may cause drowsiness and reduce alertness. Do not take opipramol if you have enlarged prostate gland, painful urination, liver and kidney diseases, recurrent fits due to any cause or heart disease. Discontinue treatment and seek immediate medical attention if you develop any allergic reactions. You should undergo routine blood cell count and liver function tests while receiving long term treatment with opipramol. If you are a patient with heart blocks or other conduction disorders, you should be frequently monitored with ECG.

Side Effects:

Nasal congestion, Fatigue, Orthostatic hypotension (sudden lowering of blood pressure on standing), Dryness in mouth, Decreased blood pressure.

How to use:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Opiprime 100 Tablet- 10 may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
