Description:

Optithrocin Eye Ointment- 5gm is a macrolide antibiotic used to treat eye infections. Azemo 1 % Eye Drops is used to treat conjunctivitis or pink eye caused by bacteria. Pink eye can easily spread by direct or indirect contact with an infected person.

It is not known whether it is safe to consume alcohol with Optithrocin Eye Ointment- 5gm. Please consult your doctor.

Pregnancy interaction:

Optithrocin Eye Ointment- 5gm is probably safe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.

Optithrocin Eye Ointment- 5gm should be used in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. It should be used regularly at evenly spaced time intervals as prescribed by your doctor. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping the medicine too early may lead to the infection returning or worsening.

How it works:

Azemo 1% Eye Drop is an antibiotic. It works by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Thus, it stops the bacteria from growing, and prevents the infection from spreading.
