Description:

Ostigard 200mg/50mg Capsule- 10 is a pain relieving medicine. It is used to reduce pain and inflammation in conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and osteoarthritis. It may also be used to relieve muscle pain, back pain, toothache, or pain in the ear and throat.

Pregnancy interaction:

Ostigard 200mg/50mg Capsule is unsafe to use during pregnancy.There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.

Side Effects:

Diarrhea, stomach pain, indigestion, flatulence, swelling of hands and feet, flu-like symptoms, and discoloration of the urine

How to use:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Ostigard 200mg/50mg Capsule- 10 may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How it works:

Ostigard 200mg/50mg Capsule- 10 is a combination of two medicines: celecoxib and diacerein which relieve pain. Celecoxib is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Diacerein is a proteoglycan synthesis stimulator which also blocks the chemicals that cause inflammation and pain and helps in the building of cartilage (soft tissue around the joints) in the body.
