Interactions / Warnings:

Taking Metoprolol with alcohol may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.

Pregnancy interaction:

Ramistar-M 25mg/2.5mg Tablet XL is unsafe to use during pregnancy.There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.

Side Effects:

Nausea, Altered taste, Vomiting, Diarrhoea, Constipation, Cough, Dizziness, Weakness, Headache, Cold extremities, Slow heart rate, Numbness of extremity, Increased potassium level in blood, Decreased blood pressure.

How to use:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Ramistar-M 25mg/2.5mg Tablet XL- 10 may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How it works:

Ramistar-M 25mg/2.5mg Tablet XL is a combination of two medicines: Metoprolol and ramipril which lower blood pressure effectively.tMetoprolol is a beta blocker which works by slowing down the heart rate and makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood around the body. Ramipril is an ACE inhibitor which reduces stress on the heart and relaxes blood vessel so that blood flows more smoothly.
