Stelbid 5mg/2mg Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.

Pregnancy interaction:

Stelbid 5mg/2mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

Side Effects:

Nausea, Constipation, Dryness in mouth, Weight gain, Sleepiness, Orthostatic hypotension (sudden lowering of blood pressure on standing), Dizziness, Blurred vision, Difficulty in urination.

How to use:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Stelbid 2 Tablet- 10 may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How it works:

Stelbid 5mg/2mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Isopropamide and Trifluoperazine. Isopropamide is an anticholinergic which works by blocking the binding of the acetylcholine (a chemical messenger) to its receptor in nerve cells. This relaxes the smooth muscles in the digestive tract and decreases the spasms. Trifluoperazine is a typical antipsychotic. It works by blocking the action of dopamine, a chemical messenger in the brain that affects thoughts and mood.
