Interactions / Warnings:

Taking Triamterene with alcohol may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.

Pregnancy interaction:

TRYMAX 1MG TABLET may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

Expert advice:

Do not take the triamterene if you are allergic to it or to any other content in the medicine or to sulfonamide class of drugs. Do not take the triamterene if you have serious liver or kidney disorder; Addisonâ€™s disease; high levels of potassium in your blood (hyperkalemia); diabetes mellitus, excess uric acid in the body (gout) or deficiency of folic acid. Do not start or continue triamterene if you have enlarged prostate or difficulty in passing urine. Avoid using triamterene if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant or breast-feeding a baby.

Nausea, Vomiting, Dizziness, Leg cramps.

How to use:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. TRYMAX 1MG TABLET- 10 may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How it works:

TRYMAX 1MG TABLET is a potassium-sparing diuretic. It lowers blood pressure and swelling by removing the extra water and electrolytes from the body without loss of potassium.
