Information about Ultramed D Tablet

Interactions / Warnings:

Taking Paracetamol / Acetaminophen + Tramadol with alcohol can cause liver damage.

Pregnancy interaction:

Ultramed 325 mg/37.5 mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

Expert advice:

Use only for severe acute pain for not more than 5 days. Prolonged use may result in physical and psychological dependence even at recommended dosages. It causes sleepiness or drowsiness. If this happens to you, do not drive or use machinery. It is better to take with food to avoid an upset stomach. Your doctor may adjust your dose if you have liver or kidney disease. In case of overdose, tell your doctor immediately.

Side Effects:

Nausea, Vomiting, Constipation, Weakness, Dizziness, Dryness in mouth, Sleepiness.

How to use:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Ultramed D Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How it works:

Ultramed 325 mg/37.5 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Paracetamol / Acetaminophen and Tramadol which relieve severe pain. Paracetamol / Acetaminophen is an analgesic (pain reliever) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain. Tramadol is an opoid which works by blocking the transmission of pain signals to the brain to lower pain perception.
