Virataz 300mg Capsule- 30 is an antiviral medicine which is used to treat human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection. This medicine is not a cure for HIV. It only prevents the virus from multiplying in your body. Monitoring of liver function and blood glucose levels is necessary while receiving this medicine.

Before taking atazanavir, inform you doctor if you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy. Inform you doctor if you have or ever had any liver problems or liver disease including hepatitis B or C or kidney problems. Discuss with your doctor about necessary precautions to be taken to avoid spreading of HIV virus to others. Atazanavir should not be used in children who weigh less than 10 kg or who weigh 25 kg or more. Consult your doctor if you experience sudden or spontaneous bleeding.

How to use:
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Virataz 300mg Capsule- 30 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Virataz 300mg Capsule is an anti-HIV medication. It works by interfering with an enzyme (protease), which is required by HIV-infected cells to make new viruses. This stops the production of new viruses.
