Interactions / Warnings:

Taking Voglibose with alcohol reduce the blood sugar levels in diabetic patients.

Pregnancy interaction:

Vmf 500 mg/0.2 mg Tablet SR is probably safe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.

How to use:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Vmf 500 mg/0.2 mg Tablet SR- 10 may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How it works:

Vmf 500 mg/0.2 mg Tablet SR is a combination of two antidiabetic medicines: Metformin and voglibose. Metformin lowers the production and absorption of sugar in your body and allows better use of existing insulin. Voglibose inhibits the intestinal enzymes that cause breakdown of complex sugars into simple sugars such as glucose. This prevents blood glucose from rising very high after meals.
