Interactions / Warnings:

Zep 5mg Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.

Pregnancy interaction:

Zep 5mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

Expert advice:

If you are taking Zep for the treatment of severe anxiety, it should not be used more than 4 weeks. It may become less effective over the time. It causes sleepiness or drowsiness. If this happens to you, do not drive or use machinery. Avoid consuming alcohol when taking the Zep, as it may cause excessive sleepiness or drowsiness. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to conceive or breastfeeding. Inform your doctor if you have ever been diagnosed with kidney or liver problems. The addiction / habit-forming potential of Zep is very high.

Sleepiness, Dizziness, Fatigue, Uncoordinated body movements, Slurred speech, Memory impairment, Headache, Dryness in mouth, Constipation, Depression, Irritability.

How to use:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Zep 5mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Zep 5mg Tablet is a benzodiazepine. It works by increasing the action of GABA, a chemical messenger which suppresses the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain.
