Description:

Zycad Capsule- 2 is used to prevent heart attack and stroke. It is a combination of medicines that help to control blood pressure, increased cholesterol levels and prevent clot formation.

Zycad Capsule- 2 is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy.Human and animal studies have shown significant adverse effects on the foetus. Please consult your doctor.

Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have liver or kidney disease. You must tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding. You should also let your healthcare team know all other medicines you are taking as they may affect, or be affected by this medicine. You may be asked for regular monitoring of blood pressure, blood sugar level and potassium level in the blood while taking this medicine.

Nausea, Altered taste, Stomach pain, Indigestion, Diarrhoea, Constipation, Headache, Weakness, Muscle pain, Increased glucose level in blood, Cough, Dizziness, Decreased blood pressure, Increased liver enzymes, Increased bleeding tendency.

How to use:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Zycad Capsule- 2 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How it works:

Zycad Capsule- 2 is a combination of four medicines: atorvastatin, aspirin, ramipril and metoprolol which prevent heart attack and lower blood pressure. Atorvastatin is a lipid-lowering medication that blocks an enzyme required in the body to make cholesterol. It lowers the "bad" cholesterol (LDL), triglycerides and raises the "good" cholesterol (HDL). Aspirin is an antiplatelet medication. It prevents the platelets from sticking together and decreases the formation of harmful blood clots. Ramipril and Metoprolol are blood pressure lowering medicines which works by relaxing the blood vessels, so that blood flows more smoothly and the heart can pump blood more efficiently.
