Description:

Angizaar AT Tablet is a combination medicine used for the treatment of high blood pressure. This medicine is not recommended for use in patients less than 18 years of age.

Uses / Indications:

Hypertension (high blood pressure)

It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Angizaar AT Tablet

Pregnancy interaction:

Angizaar AT Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy.There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.

Expert advice:

Before taking it, let your doctor know if you have any liver or kidney problems. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult their doctor for advice before taking this medicine. You also need to tell your doctor what other medicines you are taking especially those used to treat high blood pressure or heart conditions. You should have your blood pressure, liver function and electrolytes level such as potassium checked regularly to make sure that this medicine is working properly.

How to use:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Angizaar AT Tablet Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How it works:

Angizaar AT Tablet is a combination of two blood-pressure lowering medicines: Atenolol and Losartan. Atenolol is a beta blocker which works specifically on the heart to reduce heart rate and lower blood pressure. Losartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). It works by blocking the hormone angiotensin thereby relaxing blood vessels. Together they allow the blood to flow more smoothly and the heart to pump more efficiently.
