Description:

Repalol 50 mg/50 mg Tablet XL is a combination medicine used for the treatment of high blood pressure. This medicine is not recommended for use in patients less than 18 years of age.

Uses / Indications:

Hypertension (high blood pressure)

Interactions / Warnings:

It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Repalol 50 mg/50 mg Tablet XL

Pregnancy interaction:

Repalol 50 mg/50 mg Tablet XL is unsafe to use during pregnancy.There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.

How to use:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Repalol 50 mg/50 mg Tablet XL Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How it works:

Repalol 50 mg/50 mg Tablet XL is a combination of two blood-pressure lowering medicines: Atenolol and Losartan. Atenolol is a beta blocker which works specifically on the heart to reduce heart rate and lower blood pressure. Losartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). It works by blocking the hormone angiotensin thereby relaxing blood vessels. Together they allow the blood to flow more smoothly and the heart to pump more efficiently.
