Description:

Newbona Jelly- 5gm is used to treat or prevent weakening of the bones (osteoporosis) caused by menopause or use of steroids. Using this medicine can reduce your risk of breaking bones.

It is generally safe to consume alcohol with Newbona Jelly- 5gm

Pregnancy interaction:

Newbona Jelly- 5gm may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

Expert advice:

Newbona Jelly- 5gm is best taken without food. You should take it regularly at evenly spaced intervals as per the schedule prescribed by your doctor. Taking it at the same time every day will help you to remember to take it. Do not stop taking it until you have finished, even when you feel better. It may take several days to get the full benefit of this drug. Alenfos 10mg Tablet is only part of a program of treatment that may also include changes to your diet and taking calcium and vitamin supplements.

Side Effects:

Musculoskeletal (bone, muscle or joint) pain, Headache, Heartburn, Difficulty in swallowing.

How to use:

¬†It should be¬†taken in the morning after getting up on an empty stomach¬†with a full glass of water. Do not lie down and stay fully upright for at least 30 minutes after swallowing the medicine. Avoid taking any food or medication for the next 30 mins after taking this medicine.

How it works:

Newbona Jelly- 5gm is a bisphosphonate. It acts by suppressing the activity of osteoclasts, cells that cause the destruction of bone, thereby strengthening the bones and minimizing the risk of fractures.
