Interactions / Warnings:

Taking Niacin with alcohol can cause nausea, dizziness, itching, vomiting, upset stomach, and flushing (warmth, redness, or tingly feeling under your skin).

Pregnancy interaction:

Nialip 250mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

Expert advice:

It is best known to increase "good" cholesterol (HDL). This helps prevent heart attack and stroke. It is better to take with food to avoid an upset stomach. Avoid alcohol, spicy foods, hot beverages or hot baths right before you take Nialip. You may feel hot and your skin colour may change after taking Nialip. Your doctor may tell you to take an aspirin 30 minutes before you take Nialip to reduce this effect. Notify your doctor if you have unexplained muscle pain.

Itching, Flushing (sense of warmth in the face, ears, neck and trunk), Erythema, Tingling.

How to use:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Nialip 250mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Nialip 250mg Tablet stimulates the formation of enzymes for triglyceride metabolism thereby reducing the levels of triglyceride and cholesterol in the body.
