Description:

Ordilan Trio Tablet- 10 is a combination of medicines used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) when a single medication is not effective. It helps to lower high blood pressure thus reduces chances of future heart attack and stroke.

Uses / Indications:

Hypertension (high blood pressure)

Interactions / Warnings:

Taking Metoprolol with alcohol may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.

Pregnancy interaction:

Ordilan Trio Tablet- 10 may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Before taking it, let your doctor know if you have any liver or kidney problems. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult their doctor for advice before taking this medicine. Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Ordilan Trio Tablet- 10 may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How it works:

Ordilan Trio Tablet- 10 is a combination of three medicines: Cilnidipine, metoprolol and telmisartan. They work by different mechanisms to provide better control of blood pressure when single or dual therapy is not effective. Cilnidipine is a calcium channel blocker (CCB) and telmisartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). They work by widening and relaxing the blood vessels, thereby lowering blood pressure. Metoprolol is a beta blocker that works specifically on the heart to slow down the heart rate.
