Pregnancy interaction:

Zyrop 4000IU Injection may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

Expert advice:

Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have a history of blood disorders, cancer, heart disease, high blood pressure, seizures, or kidney disease. Inform your doctor if you experience chest pain, breathing problems, sudden/severe headache, or difficulty with vision, speech, or walking. Requires regular BP monitoring. Requires weekly haemoglobin(Hb) level monitoring when treatment starts and monthly thereafter. Hb level should not exceed 1 g/dL in any 14-day span. Do not discontinue treatment without consulting your doctor, even if you feel better.

How it works:

Zyrop 4000IU Injection is an erythropoiesis-stimulating agent (ESA). It works by stimulating the bone marrow (soft tissue inside the bones which produces red blood cells) to produce more red blood cells.

Faq for medicine:

Q: How should Zyrop be stored?
A: In the hospital, pre-filled syringes are stored unopened in a refrigerator between 2 and 8 degrees centigrade. If you are using at home, it is important that the pre-filled syringe is stored in your refrigerator although not in the freezer compartment. It should not be frozen. Allow the pre-filled syringe to reach room temperature prior to using it. This usually takes between 15 and 30 minutes. Zyrop pre-filled syringes that are being used or about to be used can be kept at room temperature (not above 25Â°C) for a maximum single period of 7 days. Pre filled syringes should be protected from light.

Q: What to do if you use too much Zyrop?
A: Tell the doctor or nurse immediately if you think too much Zyrop has been injected.

Q: When should Zyrop not be used?
A: Zyrop should not be used- 1) after the expiry date on the label, 2) if the seal is broken, 3) if the liquid is colored or you can see particles floating in it, 4) if you know, or think that it may have been accidentally frozen & 5) if there has been a refrigerator failure.
